When we at Bear Tooth Grill started talking about a collaboration with local Alaskan author, Kim Sunée, for the release of her cookbook Everyday Korean, we weren’t exactly sure how it would work. What would it look like to infuse Korean flavors into our menu? We were pleased to discover just how many flavor profiles and ingredients Korean and Latin cuisines share: brightness, spiciness, pickled vegetables, plenty of peppers and of course, rice. Our November 2017 specials were inspired by the recipes in this book, and we hope you have as fun as we did exploring and becoming familiar with some new ingredients.
